Shopify support & maintenance

Shopify support and maintenance.
For the store you already run.

Running the store gives you plenty to do already. We can help with theme updates, troublesome apps, and the changes you've been meaning to make. Our Minneapolis studio works with existing Shopify stores, including ones built by other developers.

Talk about your Shopify store

Your store, a new partner

Keep the store. Get some help with it.

A store is more than its theme. There are products to organize, apps to manage, and connections to the rest of your business. We'll look at how it all works and where customers or your team are getting stuck.

If you're moving on from another developer, we can review the theme, custom work, and apps before planning the handover. That can start with a few fixes. It doesn't have to start with a redesign.

We work with businesses across the Twin Cities and Minnesota, helping them improve their stores as products and priorities change.

Ongoing Shopify care

Keep improving the experience around your products.

Theme updates and custom sections

We can maintain your theme and build sections for product information, promotions, and landing pages. We preview changes in an unpublished theme and check how updates affect any custom work.

App and integration troubleshooting

Two apps doing the same job? A connection that's stopped working? We investigate what's happening and whether to fix, replace, or remove something. We'll also check permissions, subscriptions, and what needs help from the app provider.

Catalog and merchandising improvements

We help organize product details, variants, collections, and navigation so shoppers can find and compare what you sell. The setup should also make sense to the people updating the catalog.

Performance, accessibility, and shopping checks

We check loading speed, mobile use, accessibility, and the shopping steps affected by a change. Purchase-related tests use an agreed setup so they don't interfere with real customer transactions.

Knowing who to call

We handle the storefront development and integrations we've agreed to support. Shopify handles its platform, accounts, and billing; app providers handle their own services. When an issue crosses those lines, we can help work out where it belongs and coordinate with the provider.

Getting started

Understand the store before publishing changes.

  1. Walk through the store together

You show us what needs attention. We'll review the theme, apps, custom code, catalog, and system connections behind it.

  2. Arrange access

We'll use Shopify's access tools with permissions suited to the work. There's no need to share your owner's login. We'll confirm who manages the store and app accounts.

  3. Plan testing and recovery

We'll agree on theme previews and checks before release. A theme copy isn't a full store backup, so we'll also consider catalog data, orders, and app settings.

  4. Work through the list

We'll put routine maintenance and improvements in order, and agree on communication, release approval, and what support covers.

Before we begin

Questions about Shopify support.

Can you take over a store built by another agency?

Yes. We'll review the theme, apps, and custom work before agreeing on the handover. You don't need a redesign just because you're changing developers.

Can we keep our current theme and apps?

If they're working well for the store, yes. We'll explain any problems we find and check what a change would affect before recommending it.

Is this the same as Shopify’s own support?

No. We help with storefront development and the ongoing work we've agreed on. Shopify and app providers support their own services. We can help figure out who needs to handle a particular issue.

Can you customize every part of checkout?

It depends on your Shopify plan and the tools and apps available. We'll check what's possible before proposing a checkout change.

What does ongoing support cost?

We'll look at the store and the work you have in mind before proposing a budget. Platform fees and app subscriptions are separate. We'll also agree on response expectations and any urgent-support arrangements.

What should we send to get started?

Send the store address and tell us what's causing trouble or what you'd like to change. Please don't send passwords, access keys, customer exports, or payment information. We can arrange access separately.
