WordPress support & maintenance

WordPress support and maintenance.
For a site your team depends on.

Need someone to look after your WordPress site? We help with updates, recurring problems, and the improvements your team wants to make. We're based in Minneapolis, and we can pick up where another developer left off.

Talk about your WordPress site

An existing site, a new partner

A change of agency doesn’t have to mean a new website.

Your team has learned the site, added content, and found its own way of getting things done. We'll start there. What works well? What's frustrating? What keeps getting put off?

We work on sites built by other developers, including custom themes, block-based sites, Elementor, Divi, and other page builders. We'll review the setup before agreeing on the work. You don't have to change editors or start over just to bring us in.

Our Minneapolis studio works with teams across the Twin Cities and Minnesota, on one-off improvements and ongoing maintenance.

Managed WordPress hosting

Managed hosting with WP Engine, Kinsta, and more.

Managed hosting can take some work off your plate. Your theme, plugins, custom features, and store still need someone looking after them. We can help with that and coordinate with your host when needed.

WP Engine and Kinsta

We can maintain sites on either platform, using the staging, caching, backup, and release tools available on your plan.

Liquid Web WordPress hosting / Nexcess

We support WordPress and WooCommerce sites on Liquid Web's managed hosting, including Nexcess environments. For stores, we pay particular attention to extensions and order data when planning updates.

Pantheon

We work with Pantheon's development, test, and live environments to prepare theme, plugin, and integration changes before they reach the live site.

SiteGround and Pressable

We can help maintain sites on these platforms, too. We'll check your plan, plugins, and backup options before agreeing on ongoing work.

A change of developer doesn't have to mean a change of host. We'll agree on who handles updates, backups, security, and support. Hosting fees and your provider's services remain separate from our work.

Ongoing WordPress care

Beyond keeping the update notices quiet.

Core, theme, and plugin updates

We check updates in a test environment first, including the forms and features your team relies on. We also review custom code, plugin licenses, and how we'd restore the site if an update causes trouble.

Elementor, Divi, and page-builder support

We can update layouts, troubleshoot conflicting add-ons, and make editing easier. If the builder is working for you, there's no need to replace it just because we're taking over.

WooCommerce support

Product variations, carts, shipping extensions, payment connections: there's a lot to keep working together. We agree on a test setup for checking changes and plan releases around the orders and other data coming into your live store.

Performance, accessibility, and publishing

We investigate slow pages, confusing navigation, and accessibility problems. We can also help when a simple content update has become a ten-step process.

Custom development and integrations

We can extend your theme, build a plugin, or maintain the forms and system connections your site uses. Custom work gets documented so it's easier to maintain later.

Getting started

Make the next steps clear before changing the site.

  1. Look under the hood

We'll review the hosting, theme, plugins, licenses, and custom features. You'll help us identify the forms and other functions your business depends on.

  2. Arrange access and backups

We'll agree on the access we need, where changes will be tested, and how backups and recovery are handled. We'll also confirm who owns and manages each account.

  3. Put the work in order

We'll separate urgent fixes from regular updates and longer-term improvements. If something needs a bigger change, we'll explain why.

  4. Keep in touch

We'll agree on how we communicate, check releases, and handle support. The work list can change as your team's priorities do.

Before we begin

Questions about WordPress support.

Can you take over a site built by another agency?

Yes. We'll look at the site and agree on the work before taking it on. A new developer doesn't automatically mean a new theme or website.

Do you support Elementor, Divi, and other page builders?

Yes, including their themes and add-ons. We'll check compatibility and licenses as part of the review, and flag anything that needs attention.

Can you maintain a WooCommerce store?

Yes. We'll review the store and its extensions with you, including payment and shipping connections. We'll agree on what we'll support, what belongs with another provider, and how changes get tested.

Do we need to change hosting providers?

Usually there's no reason to move just to work with us. We support sites on Pantheon, Liquid Web WordPress hosting, WP Engine, and other platforms. If the hosting is part of a problem, we'll explain the options.

What does ongoing support cost?

We'll review your site and the help you need before proposing a budget. We'll also agree on response expectations and any urgent-support arrangements.

What should we send in the first inquiry?

The website address, what's bothering you, and a rough timeline are a good start. Please don't include passwords, access keys, customer details, or payment information. We'll arrange access separately.
